Career foundation

From enterprise support to modern endpoint administration

My earlier foundation in Linux, networking, and cybersecurity fundamentals supports my current direction, which is focused on Microsoft 365 endpoint administration and cloud-managed workplace security.

With over 15 years of experience in enterprise IT support and operations, I have worked across Windows endpoint troubleshooting, system operations, user support, onboarding, and service management. I have managed high-volume ticket queues in ServiceNow, maintained SLA compliance across 300 plus users, supported Microsoft 365 applications in production, and contributed to ISO 27001 and ISO 27701 audit readiness across multiple audit cycles.

This background gives me a grounded understanding of what real enterprise environments require: devices must be provisioned correctly, users need secure and reliable access, applications must deploy consistently, compliance must be enforced, and issues must be documented clearly for both operations teams and auditors.

Today I am applying that operational experience to modern Microsoft endpoint administration. My current work focuses on how organisations manage Windows and mobile devices using Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Entra ID, Windows Autopilot, Company Portal, endpoint security policies, and compliance-based Conditional Access.

Current focus

Technical areas I am building and documenting

My learning approach is practical: build the lab, validate the result, capture evidence, and document troubleshooting clearly.

01

Microsoft Intune Administration

Device enrollment, configuration profiles, application deployment, compliance policies, endpoint security, and monitoring through the Intune admin centre.

02

Microsoft Entra ID

Users, security groups, device identity, automatic MDM enrollment, and Conditional Access policy design.

03

Windows Autopilot

Corporate device provisioning using user-driven mode, Microsoft Entra join, Intune auto-enrollment, and post-enrollment application and policy validation.

04

Endpoint Security

Microsoft Defender Antivirus, Windows Firewall, BitLocker encryption, Attack Surface Reduction rules, and Windows Security Baselines.

05

BYOD Management

Windows BYOD enrollment, Android Enterprise personally owned work profile, Managed Google Play application deployment, and iOS/iPadOS enrollment preparation.

06

Lab Documentation

GitHub-based lab documentation with screenshots, troubleshooting notes, validation evidence, and clear step-by-step write-ups suitable for a professional portfolio.

Portfolio project

MD-102 Intune Virtual Company Lab

My main portfolio project is a public GitHub lab called MD-102 Intune Virtual Company Lab. The project simulates a small organisation named Contoso Startup Lab and documents the full endpoint management journey from initial Entra ID setup through to enforced Conditional Access.

Project goal: Demonstrate practical Microsoft Intune and endpoint administration skills through real configuration, validation, and documented troubleshooting, not just theory.

Documentation mindset

My approach to learning and documentation

I document real lab steps, not just theory. Each lab in my GitHub project includes actual configuration screenshots, policy validation evidence, and troubleshooting notes where things did not work as expected.

1

Build the configuration

Create real Intune, Entra ID, Autopilot, compliance, and security configurations in a lab environment.

2

Validate the result

Confirm policy deployment, device state, user experience, and access behaviour using screenshots and admin centre evidence.

3

Document troubleshooting

Capture what failed, why it failed, what changed, and how the issue was resolved.
